Chateau Shots

My latest Feet of Clay creations are shot glasses for me and my housemates! We call our house Chateau de Fufu. Our name is based on a story that I have nothing to do with and that is far too scandalous for this blog, so ask me in person if you must know.

I threw these shot glasses in hopes that they would at least be the same size and shape as each other, if not a standard size. Turns out they are neither a standard size or shape, nor a consistent size or shape, but I am very proud of them all the same! They are all unique and I did some fun, playful things with the glaze, so that's cool!

 This one is Jen's,

 mine,

 Julie's,

 Oro's,

 and Nikki's!

The thing about clay though, is that it shrinks between 10% and 20% between the time that you throw wet clay and when it comes out of the glaze fire, so these may have once held the standard 1.5 oz that defines a normal shot, but I am sure that at this point they hold... well, I dunno, not a shot's worth that's for sure. They are encouraging responsible drinking at the Chateau.
